Information For Parents

School Day

The school day is from 8:35 AM to 3:25 PM.  To allow for a full academic day please have your child to school on time and pick them up at the end of the day.  If a student does arrive late to school parents should first go to the school office, receive a tardy slip.  If a student needs to leave school early parents should stop in the office and the students will be called to the office.

PBIS

At Whittier Elementary School we use Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  We learn what it means to be a positive learner.  Our school motto is Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be a Learner.  During the day the students receive six sticks (points) and they are follow our academic day.  At the end of the day they will receive a ticket about how their day way.  Please look for this ticket everyday.
