Reading
In reading this week we will be reading Emmanuel’s Dream (Biography) and Everyone Can Learn to Ride a Bicycle (Fiction). We will be identifying the topic, main events and them of a story. We will be working on the letter sounds Q (Queenie Quail) and X (X-Ray Fox). Our reader this week will be Valentine’s Day. This week we will be working on the following words: have, six, some, we, is, for and you.

Math
In math we will be working on putting three-dimensional shapes together to compose larger shapes. We will also be counting, showing and making numbers to 10. Lastly, we will find numbers that make 10.

Our Let’s Find Out this week will be It’s Presidents’ Day! Children will identify ways our country remembers George Washington.
