Week of April 6th, 2026

Reading

In reading this week we will be reading I Know the River Loves Me (Fiction) and Look-Alike Animals (Informational Text).  We will be using pictures and text clues to describe the setting in a story.  The focus letter will be the letter Uu (Umbie Umbrella).  Our reader this week will be The Big Win.  This week we will be working on the following words: back, let, were, and, to, what and of.

Math

In math this week we will use tools, manipulatives and number partners to solve addition problems within 10, in and out of context. Also we will recognize equations that represent addition problems.

Let’s Find Out

Our Let’s Find Out this week will be Little Earth Helpers. Children will analyze how different creatures help keep Earth green.
