Week of October 21st, 2025

Reading

In reading this week we will be reading Snail & Worm Again (Fiction) and Pete the Cat Too Cool for School (Fiction).  We will be discussing the roles of the author and illustrator in a story. We will also be working on recognizing the features of a sentence. We will be working on the letter sounds N (Nina Newt) and D (Devin Duck). The focus letter will be, the letter T. Our reader this week will be The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin. This week we will be working on the following words: is, man, no, at, look and the.

Math

In math we will be working to compare groups of objects and numbers up to 5. We will also work on recognizing that each counting number is one more than the last.

Let’s Find Out

Our Let’s Find Out this week will be Up All Night! Children will compare and contrast two nocturnal animals.
